Join us at the Malcolm X Library for a discussion on the theory and history of Direct Action and Civil Disobedience.

In preparation of this education session it is highly recommended that you read:

MLK Jr's "Letter from Birmingham Jail" (10 pages)

and/or

Henry David Thoreau's "Civil Disobedience" (25 pages)

and/or

Voltairine de Cleyre’s “Direct Action” (16 pages)

In order for this session to be successful, it is very important that you engage with the texts before hand, so that we can have a robust discussion during the session.

**DISCLAIMER: this is a discussion on theory and history. DSA San Diego does not condone or encourage participating in illegal activity.
